Brian Braudis’ 1-Minute Morning Memo: January 11, 2016 – Today’s focus: Reinvention

Artist Reinvention

I’m always looking for lessons, signs, and mindsets and Artist Reinvention ideas. Sometimes in my search there is no lesson.  I’m simply inspired.

At a friends New Year party we were watching Live From Daryl’s House. Music journalists have dubbed the show’s creator, Daryl Hall (of Hall & Oats fame) as a perfect example of a veteran artist reinventing himself in the digital age by collaborating with both established colleagues and newer performers.

On the show Darly Hall sat around with the other musicians talking about his efforts and the good life of working as a musician. He said, what we do looks easy but you have to work at it and if you don’t want it more than anything else in the world then someone else will.

Here’s a Lesson

Nothing worth having comes without immense effort, determination, desire and living a reinvention mindset.

Here are some other lessons, signs, and mindsets on how other “artists” view reinvention.

  • Winning isn’t everything but wanting to is. Vince Lombardi
  • Always bear in mind your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing. Abraham Lincoln
  • Whether you think you can or you can’t, you are right. Henry Ford
  • Do what others won’t do and live the life others can’t. Brian Braudis

No need to reinvent the wheel. Reinvent your thinking and action will follow.
