This is the time of year to reflect on the last 12 months and look toward what’s next. I mean for everything—how do you want your life to be in 2016? What will Best Outcomes look like?
Lead Your Life
I believe the best outcomes happen when we lead our lives. I talk to people who are going to create a plan and change after the anxious Holiday Season, after they get a new job or after the stress ends. I’m going to get organized when it’s not so crazy, then I’ll work on getting in shape and changing. That’s not leading, that’s following. Allowing the “tides” of life to bounce you around is following. Leadership is ESPECIALLY necessary during stressful and anxious times.
I reflect with two things in mind. Rewards and consequences are both there already set up. You have to meet the criteria to get the reward—sow the action and reap the reward. Consequences are waiting the same way.
Ask and Choose
I reflect and ask, do I want the reward of increased fitness, lower weight, easily fitting in to my clothes and feeling higher self worth due to my actions or do I want the consequences of lethargy, irritability, annoyance with my lack of enthusiasm and reduced self worth?
If you reflect deeply you’ll know what has given you the results over the last 12 months and what is needed to create the life you really want to live.
