Brian Braudis’ 1-Minute Morning Memo: February 19, 2018 – Never Give Up

Chris Mazdzer won the United States’ first-ever Olympic medal in men’s singles luge. However it wasn’t always a winning track. He had to adopt the never give up mindset.

In January, Mazdzer slid to No. 18 in the world rankings. He felt like he was stuck in a rut and that rut was coming to define his entire season. A few weeks ago he publicly shared his feelings on social media.

What kills me and has been driving me wild for over a year now is the fact that no matter what I do, my top speed and ability to be with the top guys in the world has disappeared, and I don’t know why. … There comes a point where giving it everything you have and believing in yourself starts to fade away and I am almost to that point.

But Mazdzer didn’t give up. His persistence, resolve and focus paid off.

Life is like the Olympics. You do everything right…repeatedly and you see no change.

You take the right actions, apply for the jobs, work hard to attract clients, stay positive and do everything your power—for months, years even and you feel it may never come.

You might say to yourself, I’m doing everything and seeing nothing.

You might feel like giving up.  Don’t ….Never Give Up!

Keep doing the right things, taking the right actions. You don’t know when success will come. That is not in your control.

Keep working in the area where you have control, sharpening you delivery, growing in confidence, expanding your self-image…learning. This is how you win everyday.

Promotions, clients, success..they come when they come we can’t control the myriad of variables out of our control.

But if you masterfully do what is in your control, success will come. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, you may just find yourself with the biggest, most important success of your life.

Stay with it, don’t give up and you will enjoy success of Olympic proportion.
