Brian Braudis’ 1-Minute Morning Memo: February 5, 2018 – Resilience

ResilienceThe Philadelphia Eagles, the underdog, not favored to win by the “experts” won the SuperBowl. We can sum this win up with one word…Resilience!

The one word description that fits this team, the team that became a phenomenon is resilience! Of course they were a phenomenon before the Championship but the world wouldn’t know it like it does now.

The thing to take away here is that others will talk. They will project their ideas, thoughts and beliefs on you, your career, your success and your life. This is a different kind of phenomenon that you should recognize as the human condition. It’s not personal.

It’s vital for you to recognize talk as talk and the thoughts of others as meaningless. The only thoughts that matter are your thoughts. Make sure you have your thoughts aligned with where you are going.

Coach Pederson a short time ago was a high school coach and Foles is said to have been an OK player but thought he’d give football another try when he signed with the Eagles.

They both had ideas and thoughts of their own that they executed on and stayed the course even in the face of steep criticism. This takes resilience!

I encourage you to follow their example. Don’t listen to anyone. Execute and own everything, the good choices, the fair, and the mediocre—and continue acting with resilience!

I can only imagine the success that will flow out of your efforts.
