Today’s focus: Perseverance and Resilience. At the success convention I attended last month there was one outstanding point that continues to ring through my thoughts 30 days later.
Research dictates that perseverance and resilience are twice as important to success as talent and IQ.
This is a fact important to spend time with. If you visualize success as a pie divided into three pieces, two of those pieces would equal your ability to persevere and be resilient. Research has given twice the weight here as to talent.
That means we must pursue and persist even in the face of doubt, rejection, mistakes, failure and discomfort!
Tap into your perseverance and resilience and you’ll find no doesn’t mean no. It means not now, but yes perhaps another time when you try again.
You see, if you don’t try again….well, that’s not going to happen so let’s not go there.
