Brian Braudis’ 1-Minute Morning Memo: April 20, 2015 – Today’s focus: Impact

Ideas Worth Spreading

Today’s focus:Impact. 60 Minutes did a great piece highlighting TED and the noble work of Bryan Stevenson and his Equal Justice Initiative. The point of TED is Ideas Worth Spreading and the entire segment was itself an idea worth spreading.

Ideas Worth Spreading

The segment is about what is next, excellent and highly recommended. Some take aways include:

  • Big Ideas must find a global audience
  • We must make knowledge accessible
  • Personal stories, the individual bring ideas to life
  • Keep you eye on the prize

The final word however is a challenge to engage in the next step. A call to action for everyone to not just consume TED talks; but to also take action. Even though it may be uncomfortable and inconvenient, don’t just spread ideas; help in some small way to spread action and make ideas real and impactful toward a better world.

It Starts With YOU. Make sure you are at your best so that you can give your best. It doesn’t have to mean that you are at your best 100% of the time. Raise the bar. Increase your standards. Increase the amount of time you are operating above the fray.
