Brian Braudis’ 1-Minute Morning Memo: July 6, 2020 – Happy 4th of July: Let Freedom Ring

Most of us, in our calm, safe rural lives, barely consider independence the Revolution gave us. It’s just there. It’s the universal place we expect to operate from.

Americans wouldn’t live under the tyranny of colonization, so we fought for complete independence, complete freedom. Anything less was unacceptable.

Free and Equal.

But with freedom comes responsibility. We are responsible for uniting in these United States equally.

That’s the terms of the social contract.

We unite by being united.

A house divided cannot stand.

The world changes, and freedoms change. But responsibility stays the same.

We’re all in this together.

I wish you the best on this Independence Day Holiday!
