Top Ten Reasons Reinvention Is Worth the Effort
Have you ever thought of Your Reinvention as an exploration? Studying, digging, searching, evaluating, it’s what we do. We are exploring all the time. We analyze stocks, watch the news and read labels in the grocery store to learn, understand and become educated in our decision-making.
Food, taxes, mortgages, insurance, we explore to find the best; it’s worth the effort. Reinvention is about exploring to find the best…the best in YOU. When you discover the best, you can then give the best and…. the journey is worth the effort. Here are the top-ten reasons why:
1.Your Reinvention is all about YOU! Your most valuable asset is you; why not invest in this single most important asset—the one that can keep on giving, such as leading you to play bigger and enlarging your life?
2.You will know yourself. The importance of self-awareness, a self- knowing is often overlooked. But this unseen skill is invaluable. Recognizing and managing emotions in ones’ self facilitates the same ability to understand emotions in others…. this is huge in any arena of leadership where people function—boardrooms, sales calls, and family and community settings.
3.You cannot lose; you win at least by learning and growing. There is no risk especially in the early steps of growing and evolving Self. You’ll win by gaining some new habits…that will probably serve you better.
4.You will gain confidence and build decisiveness. Through the journey of reinvention (growing and evolving) you keep promises to yourself, which leads to the eye-opener, “I can do it,” after several I can do its, you discover you have built a new confidence!
5.You trust yourself; self-doubt is a thing of the past. The self-doubt gremlin(s) cannot stand up to you while you are choosing to build confidence, new strengths and resourcefulness.
6.You bring an end to the status quo…. The status quo and mundane will cease in the face of your reinvention. You will never run out of things to do, progressions to make and people to influence!
7.You know what it is to live on purpose. Your life’s purpose will flow through you because you choose where to place focus, energy, passion and action.
8.You know that pace has little to do with progress. Your journey is reinvention built by you each day not in a single day. Self-reinvention is not about where you start out, it’s about where you end up.
9.You are enthralled using new skills, exploring …doing things differently and doing different things. You have let go of what was to create what will be. Thus, a larger space is there for you to step into.
10.You are inspired and inspiring! Inspired by your own exploration, you commit to the journey of reinvention. As your inspiration begins to shine on the outside you become an inspiration to those around you. Embracing the process of reinvention opens up a world of exploration. Which eventually leads to the best life-changing power shift. You no longer take what you can get. Rather you shift to creating what you want.
T.S. Eliot summed it up this way, “We must not cease from exploration. At the end of all of our exploring will be to arrive where we began and to know the place for the first time.”
